In those days you could go to an Indian barber for 20 cents; get your fortune told for 10 cents. Your scissors would be sharpened in an alley, your laundry would be taken away by a washerwoman, and hawkers would peddle their special dishes from street to street. With the development of cosmopolitan Kuala Lumpur these practices are now lost.
To remember this bygone era, the top floor of this building has been transformed into an art gallery. Retaining much of the original structures and fittings, we provide a place for people to take a step back in time away from modern trappings and experience history at its fullest. With a photo gallery of old Malaysia and an additional section for our art, this intimate space is reserved for those to remember our heritage.
